As a freelance photographer under Gawang Kuwadro, my gear isn’t just equipment — it’s an extension of how I see and capture the world. Whether I’m documenting a civil wedding, a child’s baptism, or a creative portrait session, every piece in my bag plays a role in telling real, heartfelt stories.
Here’s a peek at what’s in my camera bag and why I trust each one:
📸 Fujifilm XT20 – My Workhorse
This little beast has been with me since the start. The Fujifilm XT20 is compact but powerful, and it’s done everything I need since my first paid shoot. It’s fast, reliable, and the colors straight out of the camera? Perfect! For a hybrid of portability and performance, this camera does the job; no fuss, just results
🔍 Kit Lens 18-55mm – The All-Rounder
Don’t sleep on the kit lens. The 18-55mm focal range gives me the flexibility to go wide during ceremonies or get closer during intimate moments. It’s my go-to for dynamic environments like birthday parties or baptismals where things move fast and you need to adapt quickly
🎯 56mm Fujinon – The Portrait King
When it’s time for portraits, especially in civil weddings or creative shoots, this lens shines. The depth, the compression, the soft bokeh… It adds that touch of magic to close-up shots and makes skin tones pop beautifully
🕶️ 90mm Fujinon – For Candid Gold (Optional but Loved)
This is my secret weapon and personal favorite. The 90mm gives me those stunning candid shots without intruding. I’ll whip this out when the space allows it, like in outdoor weddings or spacious venues. It offers sharpness and depth with minimal distortion, making it ideal for emotional, authentic moments
⚡ Godox TT685 – Reliable On-Camera Flash
Flash isn’t always necessary, but when it is, you better have a good one. The Godox TT685 has never let me down. It’s affordable, consistent, and reliable for low-light receptions or tricky indoor shoots
Pro tip: If budget allows, go for the Godox V1. Better build, more power, and longer flash cycles
💻 Asus TUF Gaming F15 – Editing Workhorse
Yes, it’s a gaming laptop, but it’s also a powerhouse for post-processing. I use the Asus TUF Gaming F15 for all my photo editing and backups. It handles Lightroom and Photoshop with ease, and I never have to worry about lag when exporting hundreds of photos from an event
Whether I’m working a chaotic toddler birthday, a solemn church baptism, or a cozy pet shoot, this kit helps me stay ready, focused, and creative.
